Description

This 40k mile, 1997 993 Turbo Coupe, six-speed, finished in Polar Silver (bright silver with just a hint of blue) over a black, full leather interior, is a rare, low mileage example of Porsche’s legendary air-cooled Turbo. Offered with tasteful RUF wheels and steering wheel, this example provides a spirited driving experience with its upgraded suspension, short shifter, and 993 GT2 exhaust.

The 993 Turbo, produced in model years 1995 through 1997, was based on the Carrera 4. It was the first Turbo to utilize all-wheel drive, as well as the first to feature twin turbochargers. Additionally, the Turbo received Motronic engine management, the first significant improvement in turbo technology since the introduction of the intercooler for the 1978 Porsche Turbo. This system improved both performance and throttle response, significantly reducing the turbo lag of earlier models. Its 3.6l flat six produced 408hp and 398 lb-ft torque. Massive 12.7” vented disc brakes provided stopping power.
